About us
James Allison and Michelle Conely are the owners of Rentals at Sunset, LLC and Carolina’s Coastal Adventure Tours, LLC, businesses dedicated to providing exceptional guest experiences while supporting the local Sunset Beach economy.
James brings a strong background in finance and former business ownership, with expertise in strategic planning, financial management, and operational leadership. He is also the founder of Waterway Cleanup Day, a nonprofit initiative focused on environmental preservation and community stewardship.
Michelle contributes her entrepreneurial experience as a former gallery owner and creative professional. A graduate of UNC Wilmington with a background in real estate appraisal, she combines artistic vision with business insight. Her international upbringing and dual citizenship further shape her global perspective and thoughtful approach.
Together, James and Michelle are deeply committed to community engagement and service. James serves on the River Creek Neighborhood Homeowners Board, and Michelle supports local initiatives as a board member of I Need a Hero.
Their shared dedication to integrity, environmental responsibility, and community development continues to shape their work throughout Brunswick County.
Michelle Conely
Michelle Conely is an accomplished business partner, former gallery owner, and lifelong creative. She previously owned Going Local, a respected Coastal North Carolina art gallery with locations in downtown Wilmington and Mayfaire. A graduate of UNC Wilmington, Michelle also brings valuable experience as a former real estate appraiser, blending creativity with strong business insight.
